Minneapolis Staycation: A guide

We spent Saturday night in a hotel - and hit a TON of spots

We’ve been debating what to do when we’re empty nesters. Alyssa & I have lived in Maple Grove since we moved here in 2003, we love our neighborhood but LOVE our time in the cities. Our initial plan was to move to Minneapolis when the kids go to college, but a $1600 mortgage means that we can afford a lot of weekend hotel stays instead of upgrading our home. We’ll see - I’m still intrigued at getting a condo or apartment.

In the meantime, those weekend staycations are awesome. We spent Saturday night at Hotel Ivy and visisted Surdyk’s, Harmony Coffee Shop, Jax Cafe, WildCHLD cocktail bar, Breva Bar & Grill, Masa & Agave, S.K. Coffee, Blondette, and Dexter’s. Ridiculous!
