Women: why are you so obsessed with pockets? Honestly, I’ve always been a little jealous of your big old bags. Ever since my bifold wallet started wearing my right rear jeans pocket out, I’ve tried wearing my wallet in my front pocket. And then I keep my iPhone in another pocket. You guys can get the biggest iphone ever because you don’t have to worry about the pockets! I’m carrying keys. And reading glasses. How about a lip balm? There’s a lot of crap in my pockets.
My friend Todd Polifka and I have been joking/not joking about wanting a man bag. A murse. A satchel. Gender stereotypes be damned. But it’s tricky - a cheap crossbody gives fanny pack. Too big looks goofy. I’ve found a good one from GRAMS (28) - the 157 Essential Sling. Alyssa said I need to buy a $200 bag before I upgrade to a $1200 bag. Walk before you run, I get it. I wore the bag to dinner at Sanjusan with my friends Anne-Catherine and JP this week. I didn’t see any paparazzi, so I had to take a couple pics of myself when I got home, as you can see in this IG post:
